ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - Morgan Basil recorded Boise State's lone match point in a 6-1 Mountain West Conference loss to No. 39 TCU Sunday morning in Albuquerque, N.M. The sophomore from St. Petersburg, Fla., won the No. 5 singles match in convincing fashion 6-2, 6-3 over the Horned Frogs' Kelsey Sundaram. The loss was the first for the Broncos in conference play as they move to 1-1 in league and 7-8 overall, TCU improved to 9-5 on the year and 2-0 in MW action.

The contest opened with TCU's Olivia Smith and Stefanie Tan defeating Boise State's Kaitlyn Brown and Sonia Klamczynska 8-2 at the No. 3 doubles position. The Pietzuch twins drew the Broncos even when Manuela and Marlena tallied a 9-7 victory over Gabi Barbosa and Kelsey Sundaram at No. 1 doubles. The doubles point came down to the No. 2 duo of Sandy Vo and Morgan Basil who fought hard into a tie-break before falling 9-8 (6) to TCU's Gaby Mastromarino and Simona Parajova.

Up one after doubles, TCU went on to take wins in five of the six singles matches. Basil's win at No. 5 was the only victory for the Broncos. The match was already decided when Basil recorded her straight set win to make the team score 5-1.

Boise State's Sandy Vo battled to the end at No. 3 singles before dropping a three set match 6-3, 4-6, 6-4 to the Horned Frogs' Olivia Smith.
