WALNUT CREEK, Calif. – Seniors Denise Dy and Samantha Smith along with sophomore Andjela Nemcevic all picked up Pac-12 All-Academic honorable mention today, the conference office announced.

To be eligible for selection to the academic team, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.0 overall grade-point average and be a significant contributor, as well as be in their second full year at their institution.

Dy, who wrapped her career ranked fourth in school history with 98 singles wins and who finished ranked 22nd in singles this season, garners honorable mention for the third straight season. She owns a cumulative grade point average of 3.33 with a major in Psychology.

Smith picks up honorable mention for the second time in her career. She owns a 3.25 cume GPA while majoring in Political Science. The Los Angeles native was a four-year starter who ranks ninth in school history in doubles wins.

Nemcevic stepped up to the No. 1 singles spot on several occasions this year when Dy was out due to injury. The native of Belgrade, Serbia earns honorable mention for the first time. She has a 3.28 grade point average while studying Biology (Molecular, Cellular, Development).
