TULSA, Okla. - Columbia men's tennis player Ashok Narayana fell in the second round of the qualifying draw at the ITA All-American Championships Tuesday to Texas A&M's Shane Vinsant.

After losing the first set, 6-1, Narayana came back and won the second set, 6-3, to even the match. In the decisive set, Vinsant was able to break Narayana once, enough to win the set, 6-4, and the match.

Despite being eliminated from singles action, Narayana and doubles partner Max Schnur will compete in the main draw of doubles portion of the All-American Championships. Main draw competition begins Thursday, Oct. 4.
