TULSA, Okla. - The Columbia men's doubles tandem of Ashok Narayana and Max Schnur lost a close match to open the main draw of the ITA All-American Championships hosted by the University of Tulsa.

Going up against the second-seeded duo of Shaun Bernstein and Evan King from Michigan, Narayana and Schnur kept the match close throughout, but fell 9-7.

While the rest of the Columbia men's tennis team is competing at home this weekend as part of the Columbia Classic, Narayana and Schnur will have the opportunity to begin early preparations for the ITA Northeast Regional slated for Oct. 18-23 in New Haven, Conn.
