FLUSHING MEADOWS, N.Y. - The Columbia women's tennis team will have the opportunity to play for five draw titles, four singles and one doubles, Monday at the USTA BJK NTC Women's College Invitational.

In the 'A' draw semifinals, Kanika Vaidya blanked Brown's Misia Krasowski in the first set and then went on to win set two, 6-4, to advance to Monday's finals. Princeton's Lindsey Graff, the top seed in the 'A' draw, will serve as Vaidya's opponent in the title match.

Bianca Sanon came back after losing the first set of her semifinal match to Dartmouth's Janet Liu, 6-3, to win the final two sets of the match, 6-1, 10-1, earning a spot in the 'B'draw finals. Sanon will face Princeton's Amanada Mulianwan in the finals Monday.

It will be a battle of top seeds in the 'C' draw finals, as Columbia's Crystal Leung, the two seed, will go up against top-seeded Katherine Flanigan from Princeton Monday. Leung used a 7-5, 6-4 showing to get past Cornell's Laila Judeh in the semifinals.

Amy Li will be the fourth Columbia student-athlete competing for a draw title Monday after defeating Sara Perelman from Cornell, 6-3, 6-4, Sunday. St. John's Amber Washington will be Li's challenger in the finals.

In doubles, Sanon will have a shot at two titles as she and Tiana Takenaga will begin play in the semifinals against Lindsey Graff and Mulianwan for a shot at the finals. The Columbia duo reached the semifinals after beating Binghamton's Katya Medianik and Alexis Tashiro, 8-0.

Play at the Billie Jean Tennis Center will begin Monday morning with the finals of each draw beign decided throughout the day.
