LAS VEGAS – The Broncos’ run at the Mountain Regional Championships came to an end, Saturday, as Andy Bettles fell in the main draw semfinal and the doubles pair of Nathan Sereke/Bettles came up short in its semifinal match as well.

Sereke and Bettles started the day with a win in the quarterfinals over the No. 1 seed of Bonin/Vorkefeld from Denver, 8-5. In the semifinals, the Bronco duo fell to UNLV’s team of Matias/Schoeman, 8-6.

In singles, Bettles lost in three sets to Sam Iftikhar of New Mexico. Iftikhar took the first set, 6-3 but Bettles responded with a 6-2 win of his own in the second frame. In the deciding third set, Iftikhar shut the door on Bettles’ title hopes, 6-1.
