LUBBOCK, Texas – Both the men’s and women’s tennis teams climbed one spot in this week’s edition of the ITA Top 75 Poll.
The Lady Raiders moved into the 20th position this week. Texas Tech climbed one spot from No. 21 last week. The Lady Raiders opened the spring at No. 22.
It is the seventh time in program history that the Lady Raiders have been ranked inside the Top 20 of the poll. Texas Tech was featured for six different weeks last season inside the Top 20, reaching as high as No. 17.
On the women’s side, Texas Tech is one of three teams ranked in the Top 30, joining No. 11 Texas and No. 15 Baylor.
The Red Raiders are No. 28 this week, after spending the first two polling periods at No. 29 in the poll. This season marks the seventh straight season the Red Raiders have been ranked in the ITA Top 30.
On the men’s side, Texas Tech is one of four Big 12 teams ranked in the Top 30, joining No. 8 Oklahoma, No. 14 Baylor and No. 17 Texas.
