SEATTLE -- Washington men's tennis is pleased to host the ITA National Men's Team Indoor Championship this weekend. The tournament will be played both at the Nordstrom Tennis Center and the Seattle Tennis Club, beginning Friday, Feb. 15 and continuing to the Championship Final on Monday, Feb. 18.

The Huskies are hosting the ITA National Team Indoors for the seventh time. The last time Washington hosted was in 2011 when Virginia won its fourth-straight title.

This season, the Dawgs welcome 15 other schools to Seattle, each who qualified by winning a pair of matches at the ITA Kickoff Weekend. Teams will each be guaranteed three matches, but the winning team will have to win four straight without a loss.

Friday will be the Round of 16 with each team seeded based on their national ranking. The top half of the draw includes the Huskies who are the 16 seed. Washington will open with top-seeded Virginia on Friday at 5:30 p.m. at the Nordstrom Tennis Center. Virginia had its run of four-straight ITA Indoor titles ended by USC last season, but will be a formidable challenge. The Dawgs will have the home court advantage led by Kyle McMorrow who jumped into the ITA singles rankings at No. 18 this week.

The rest of the top half of the draw includes eighth-seeded Oklahoma facing ninth-seed Duke, fourth-seeded Ohio State against 13th-seeded California and fifth-seeded Pepperdine and 11th-seeded Florida.

The bottom half of the draw is headlined by second-seeded and defending champion USC. The Trojans will face 15th-seeded Texas A&M in the first round. In addition, the bottom half of the draw includes sixth-seeded Georgia against 12th-seeded Ole Miss, third-seeded UCLA against 14th-seeded Tennessee and seventh-seeded Kentucky against 10th-seeded Mississippi State.

Friday's opening round will alternate between the Nordstrom Tennis Center and the Seattle Tennis Club, although all Washington matches are guaranteed to be played on their campus venue. Following the opening round, the Nordstrom Center will be for the main draw, while the Seattle Tennis Club will host the consolation bracket.

Washington is 6-2 on the season and riding a four-match winning streak at the Nordstrom Tennis Center. The Dawgs only loss at home this season came to Pepperdine who is also the only team in the field Washington has seen this year.

Following the ITA Indoors, Washington will continue its long stretch of home consecutive home matches when it welcomes Oregon and UNLV. The Dawgs host Oregon on Friday, Feb. 22 at 5 p.m. and UNLV on Sunday, Feb. 24 at noon.
