CHARLESTON, S.C. - The NC State women's tennis team picked up its third-straight and first road victory of the 2013 season with a 6-1 win over Charleston Southern Friday morning. The Pack improves to 3-0 on the young season.

The Wolfpack swept all three doubles matches for the second match in a row. JuniorJoelle Kissell and senior Tatiana Illova teamed up for an 8-3 victory over Angelica Sidorenko and Alia Nour in the No. 1 spot. Playing in the No. 2 spot, the sophomore duo comprised of Nicole Martinez and Elisha Hande grabbed an 8-4 win over Marketa Placha and Susita Das, while senior Chloe Smith and sophomore Sophie Nelsonclosed out Alexandra Walters and Chanel Bell, 8-5, in the No. 3 spot.

The tandems of Martinez and Hande, and Smith and Nelson are each 3-0 as doubles teams in dual matches this season.

In singles action, the Pack collected four straight-set victories. Playing in the No. 1 spot, the 40th-ranked Kissell eased her way to a 6-1, 6-2 victory over Placha, while Illova ousted Nour, 6-2, 6-1, in the No. 4 spot. Hande also cruised to a 6-2, 6-1 win over Das at No. 5 singles, and Smith defeated Bell, 6-2, 6-0 in the No. 6 spot.

In her second-career dual singles match, freshman Rachael James-Baker won the first set, 6-4, over Walters, but dropped a tough second set, 7-6. The third set was decided in a 10-point tie-breaker, which James-Baker won by a 10-5 count to seal the win for the Pack.

Sidorenko outlasted Martinez, 6-4, 6-1, in the No. 2 singles contest for Charleston Southern's (1-2) only victory in the match.
