The Short Story: After picking up a dominating 5-0 win over Michigan State on Friday, VCU continued its perfect home weekend with a 5-2 victory against 34th-ranked N.C. State on Saturday.  The duo of Max Wennakoski and Michal Voscek picked up a pair of singles and a doubles win, while Alejandro Argente was victorious in both singles and doubles action for the second day in a row.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

    After N.C. State's Seaon Weber and Dave Thomson, the 41st-ranked doubles team in the country, knocked off VCU's Alexis Heugas and Dylan McCloskey 8-4, Wennakoski and Voscek tied it up with an 8-2 win over the Wolfpack's Austin Powell and Beck Bond.  Then the 38th-ranked doubles pair of Argente and Jaime Vazquez secured the Rams' doubles point with an 8-5 triumph over Robbie Mudge and Thomas Weigel.
    VCU picked up where it left off, jumping out to a 2-0 lead on the singles court as Wennakoski defeated Robbie Mudge, 6-4, 6-4.  Heugas followed with a 6-3, 6-2 victory over Austin Powell.
    N.C. State's Thomas Weigel answered with a 7-6, 6-1 defeat of Claes Goransson before back-to-back wins from the Rams' Michael Voscek and Argente secured the Black & Gold victory.
