WACO, Texas - Baylor's 29th-ranked women's tennis team will kick off a seven-match home stand against No. 10 Miami (Fla.) at 1 p.m. on Saturday at the Hurd Tennis Center.

"Miami is having another tremendous season," head coach Joey Scrivano said. "They are a national championship contender and playing with a lot of confidence at the moment. We're struggling and not playing at full strength, so it will be an uphill battle for us. Last season they absolutely embarrassed us in Coral Gables. I'm hoping we compete harder this time around."

On the season, the Lady Bears are 7-10 after completing a successful opening weekend of Big 12 competition, earning two wins on the road against Iowa State and West Virginia.

Baylor's lineup features three ranked singles players: No. 12 Ema Burgic, No. 121 Victoria Kisialeva, and No. 124 Megan Horter. Burgic has compiled a 12-5 record at the top of the lineup. Burgic and Kisialeva are also listed as a 25th-ranked doubles pairing, boasting a 10-1 mark. Alex Clay and Alex Leatu have also found success together, winning both of their matches in the third spot for the Lady Bears.

Miami (8-3) has won two matches in a row, and will travel to Austin on Friday to take on No. 22 Texas before heading to Waco. The Hurricanes' lineup has three ranked singles players: No. 81 Kelsey Laurente, No. 100 Stephanie Wagner, and No. 116 Clementina Riobueno. The three are a combined 26-6 in singles action. In doubles, Miami's lineup also features three ranked tandems: No. 48 Lina Lileikite and Wagner, No. 69 Melissa Bolivar and Riobueno, and No. 73 Laurente and Brittany Dubins.

The last time these two teams met, Miami downed Baylor, 6-1, on March 13, 2012 in Florida. The all-time series is tied up at five games apiece.

Live scoring, a live blog, and live video will be available for the match on BaylorBears.com.

After facing Miami, Baylor will continue Big 12 play against No. 33 TCU at 5 p.m. on Wednesday at the Hurd Tennis Center.
