BERKELEY - Thirteenth-ranked California won every match against Colorado to rout the Buffaloes, 7-0, in a Pac-12 Conference clash on a sunny Friday afternoon at the Hellman Tennis Complex. A highlight of the day was the return of Golden Bear sophomore Zsofi Susanyi, the third-ranked singles player in the nation who has missed playing time recently due to injury. The All-American - who did not play singles today - picked up where she left off in doubles, pairing with freshman Klara Fabikova to win their match and help the Bears take the doubles point.

The Bears improved their record to 9-4 (3-0 in the Pac-12), while Colorado fell to 6-9 (1-3 Pac-12).

Cal opened doubles with the 40th-ranked duo of freshman Lynn Chi and junior Anett Schutting beating Erin Sanders and Julyette Steur, 8-4, on court one. Seniors Tayler Davie and Annie Goransson secured the doubles point with an 8-4 victory over Colorado's Ashley Tiefel and Mazy Watrous on court three. The Bears swept doubles when the 20th-ranked team of Susanyi/Fabikova beat Winde Janssens/Carla Manzi Tenorio, 8-3, on court two.

"It felt great," Susanyi said of her return to the court. "I was really excited. It felt a little bit strange because I had to adjust to everything, especially since it was doubles; it wasn't just me out there."

"It was great to get Zsofi out there on the court today," Cal head coach Amanda Augustus said. "She was really excited about that. She was a little bit rusty today, but she worked it out."

Susanyi credited Fabikova and associate head coach Cordell Ho with helping her shake off the rust.

"It did take a while, but she and Cordell were helping me a lot," she said. "Without them today would've been a lot harder."

Cal did not lose a set in singles as the Bears swept all six matches. Junior Kelly Chui got the ball rolling when she powered past Watrous, 6-1, 6-1, on court six, and No. 108 Fabikova blanked Dhany Quevedo, 6-0, 6-0, on court three to give Cal a 3-0 lead in the overall match.

Junior Alice Duranteau clinched the match with a 6-1, 6-1, romp over Manzi Tenorio on court five to make the score 4-0.

The Bears did not let up, as No. 57 Chi toppled Janssens, 6-3, 6-2, on court two and Goransson finished off Sanders, 6-2. 6-1, on court four to give Cal a 6-0 lead. The ninth-ranked Schutting completed the 7-0 rout with a 6-4, 6-4, win on court one.

"I'm really happy with how we took the momentum in the singles and kept it," Augustus said. "We focused well; everyone, on all the courts. I don't know that I'd seen that on every court in each match yet, but that was what I was most pleased with today."

Cal hosts No. 69 Utah at noon on Saturday at Hellman.

Prior to the match, the Bears will host a USTA Campus Kids' Day. Registration is free and will take place at Hellman from 10-10:15 a.m. on Saturday. Campus Kids' Day officials will then walk the participants over to the Channing Tennis Courts, located on top of the Ellsworth Parking Structure on the corner of Channing Way and Ellsworth Street. Kids will take part in drills, games and other activities involving members of the Cal team; parents are welcome to watch the festivities. Those taking part in the Campus Kids' Day will then walk back to Hellman in time to watch Cal's match against the Utes.

A full recap will follow.
