Just 15 hours later, she faced the nation’s 35th-ranked player in NC State’s Joelle Kissell. After dropping the first set, 3-6. She powered back to win the final two sets, 6-0 and 6-3.

Miami’s lineup also features two more ranked freshmen in No. 73 Kelsey Laurente and No. 122 Clementina Riobueno.

After Saturday’s match, the Canes head out on the road for matches at Maryland and Boston College on April 5 and 6, respectively.  The next home matches will be against conference leaders UNC and Duke on April 12 and 14.
