OJAI, CALIF. -- USC junior Kaitlyn Christian had another winning day in Ojai today. Christian paired up with teammate Sabrina Santamaria as the top seeds in doubles play and notched two wins to advance to tomorrow's semifinals as the pair pursues back-to-back Pac-12 Doubles championships. Christian also advanced to the invitational draw's singles semifinals with a win today.
Christian and Santamaria had one of their tightest matches of the year in today's Round of 16, where the Trojan pair pulled out a 9-8 (6) win over UCLA's McPhillips/Van Nguyen to stay alive and well in their defense of the 2012 Pac-12 title. Christian/Santamaria would find a groove from there and topped Cal's Chui/Davis 8-1 in the quarterfinals to advance to tomorrow's semifinals.
