DURHAM, N.C. – The draft for the 2014 ITA Kick-Off Weekend was held Wednesday, June 5 with the Duke women’s tennis team being selected as one of 15 host sites.
The Blue Devils will be the top seed in the region and will host for the sixth consecutive season. The squad will be joined in Durham by the No. 2 seed Kentucky, No. 3 seed Tulane and No. 4 seed Columbia.
This past season, Duke logged wins against Wisconsin and Wyoming during the ITA Kick-Off Weekend and went on to record wins over No. 15 Baylor and No. 14 Northwestern to reach the semifinals at the ITA National Team Indoor Championships in Charlottesville, Va.
The tournament will take place January 24-27, 2014, with winners of each site advancing to the ITA National Team Indoor Championships Feb. 7-10 in Charlottesville, Va.
