Syracuse women's tennis head coach Luke Jensen today announced that he has resigned his position with the Orange to return to the national tennis arena and pursue new opportunities.
"I loved my time at Syracuse. It was a great opportunity and the experience exceeded my wildest expectations. Moving forward, I very much want to return to the national tennis scene and pursue new opportunities," Jensen said.
"I want to thank Luke Jensen for his effort in building our women's tennis program. Today, we have a very strong program in which our student-athletes are excelling athletically and academically. We all wish Luke the best in his future pursuits," said Syracuse Director of Athletics Dr. Daryl Gross.
Gross indicated that associate head coach Shelley George will assume the head coaching position on an interim basis. George has been instrumental in guiding the Orange to their most successful period in program history during her seven years at Syracuse. An international search for the next head coach is underway.
