Jones, ranked No. 20, made quick work of 90th-ranked Elianne Douglas-Miron at No. 1 singles, 6-1, 6-1 to give Ole Miss a 2-0 lead and improve to 12-3 overall. Hartono also finished 3-0 on the weekend in singles and doubles, downing Grace Ysidora 6-2, 6-1 at No. 2 to make it 3-0 Rebels. Hartono improved to 11-4 on the year.

Sophomore Zalina Khairudinova clinched her second straight match, beating Angela Chen 6-4, 6-1 at No. 6 singles.

Both Suk and El Kamash won their matches in third-set supertiebreakers at Nos. 4 and 3, respectively.

"Great start to the year," head coach Mark Beyers said. "We were able to get a lot of solid practice sessions in this week along with the two wins in the dual matches. Hawaii and Washington are both very good teams. We were pushed and we were able to get some of the early season jitters out."

The Rebels return home to host a doubleheader against Jackson State Saturday, Jan. 24 beginning at 11 a.m.
