2008-2009 (FRESHMEN) All-Sun Belt Conference doubles' selection with Ben Smith...All-Louisiana first-team selection...Ranked No. 67 (w/Ben Smith) in doubles in the final ITA rankings and No. 11 (w/Smith) in the final ITA South Central Region rankings...Lone member of the UNO squad to play No. 1, posting a 14-5 mark during the dual season and a 15-7 record overall...Named SBC Player of the Week on Mar. 18 after posting a 4-0 record (2-0 singles, 2-0 doubles) while leading the Privateers to victories over Lamar and Southern Illinois...Opened spring season by winning six straight matches, starting with a win over Marek Sramek of No. 59South Alabama (1/25) in straight sets...Other win streaks included winning seven straight, starting with a straight-set victory over Brian Dushock of Samford (2/20) and included wins over Xavier, Jackson State, Austin Peay, Lamar and Southern Illinois...Teamed with Smith to become the first UNO doubles' tandem to be nationally ranked, reaching a high of No. 42 after defeating the then-No. 9 duo of Michael Venus and Neal Skupski of LSU...Kemp and Smith would remain ranked through the end of the year, finishing their season with an 8-2 doubles' mark and ranked No. 67 - joining Viktor Loven (2003) as the only Privateers to end a year amongst the national rankings...Kemp also teamed with Guilherme Rebolo for early part of season, posting an 11-3 record overall and a 7-3 mark in dual play...Teamed with Rebolo to win the West Florida Fall Fling doubles' tournament in the fall.
