Fall 2006: Participated in the Wilson ITA Regional Championships winning his first match over University of Oregon’s Francisco Gallardo. Played in the Pacific Tigers Invitational with a win over UC Davis’s Michael Reiser. Looks to be a major contributor for the Dons in the Spring of 2007. Goals for the season are to stay injury free, help the team achieve a national ranking, and have a winning record in singles and doubles.
As a sophomore 2005-2006: Participated in the Santa Clara Bronco Classic and Wilson/ITA Regional Championships. Played primarily at the #2 spot for the Dons with a record of 7-10 on the season. Had wins over Brian Brogan of Santa Clara, Adam Fauvre of Saint Mary’s College of California, Arron Spencer University of Oregon, and Njec Smole University of Denver. Had huge win for the Dons in the opening round of the WCC Championships against St. Mary’s Julian Tizot winning the deciding match 6-3,3-6,6-3. Played #2 doubles for the Dons partnering with Tommy Tu, Matthew Berry, and Fernando Rodriguez with a record of 11-7 on the season.
As a freshman 2004-2005: Was a Spring addition for the Dons. Played primarily #3-5 in the starting lineup and went 7-11 in dual match competition with wins over Brett Womack of Gonzaga University, Shane Templeman of UC Santa Cruz, Daniel Elefant of UC Davis, and Ramon Perez of Sacramento State. Played #2 doubles for the Dons partnering with Timo Kienle, Rafael Corazza, and Fernando Rodriguez going 7-8 on the season
Personal: Born on February 17, 1984 in Calw, Germany. Parents are Stefan and Verena Huettenberger. Prior to USF was a semi-finalist at the WTB Championships U21. Won several junior tournaments, and had a German ranking of DTB 306. Favorite tennis player is Marat Safin. Enjoys basketball, traveling, and going to movies. Is a Junior International Business major.
