AS A FRESHMAN (2003-04)
* Compiled a 6-8 mark in dual matches while playing as high as No. 2 in the lineup.
* Played predominantly at No. 6 singles and finished the year with a 3-5 record at that position.
* Captured the consolation singles title at the 2004 Waikoloa Village Tennis Tournament.
* Teamed with senior Joe Morris to post an overall 8-3 dual-match record in doubles while playing most of the season at the No. 3 position.
* Recorded a 1-0 mark in doubles (with Morris) at the Big 12 Conference Tournament.
BEFORE TEXAS
* Recognized as the top junior player in the state of Texas his senior year of high school.
* Advanced to the quarterfinals in singles of the 2002 Easter Bowl.
* Doubles finalist at the USTA Boys’ 18 Super Nationals Winter Championships.
* Participated in the 2002 and 2003 Junior Davis Cup.
* Recipient of the 2003 USTA John McFarlin Award for outstanding sportsmanship and leadership, civic responsibility and character.
* Two-time recipient of the St. Stephen’s Academy Player of the Year honor (2002-03).
