Wisconsin Tennis Teams Hosts Clinic
Tuesday, 03/13/2012

MADISON, Wis. -- The Wisconsin men's and women's tennis teams will be holding two clinics next week to give Badger tennis fans, young and old, a chance to work on their game and have fun.

The women's tennis team will conduct a tennis clinic for women 21 and over on Sunday, March 18, from 10:30 a.m.-12 p.m. Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in drills and games with current women's tennis players and coaches at the Nielson Tennis Center.

The clinic is free, but participants are encouraged to donate to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation. The team is excited for this opportunity to give back to the community and hopes this event can raise both funds and awareness of breast cancer -- a disease which has affected so many in the Badger community.

The team is looking forward to meeting and playing with its loyal Badgers fans and hopes that attendees can leave the clinic with new ways to improve their game.

The men's tennis team will conduct a one-hour clinic for kids 12-and-under on Friday, March 23 from 5-6:00 p.m. The clinic will take place at the Nielson Tennis Center.

The cost is $9 for this kids' clinic. Participants will also receive admission to UW men's tennis match vs. Michigan which starts at 6 p.m. There will be a pizza party following the clinic, and kids will get an official Wisconsin Tennis T-shirt.

Both clinics have limited space available.
