Saturday at the fieldhouse was pretty busy for the Warhawk Tennis Program. At 9:00am the men hosted Elmhurst College, and at 2pm the Women held their annual Alumni and Friends event.
The nationally and regionally ranked Warhawk Men took on Elmhurst College, and were able to use twelve players in the Varsity lineup. The highlight was only dropping 3 games in the top 5 singles matches as the Warhawks dominated play. Freshman Mark Sansait was able to take the challege of stepping into the singles lineup at #6 and pulled out his victory in straight sets. In doubles we had several players move up in the lineup and they all were able to pull out victories to get things started. Below are all the scores.

In the afternoon, we had a great time at the annuall Women's Tennis Alumni and Friends Event. We had 25 guests show up for the fun! We had a blast as the current team took on all challengers. We also mixed in the current players as partners for the guests. We played a little ping pong and followed the event with dinner at Cozumel's! It was a great time. If you missed it, mark you calendars for next year-same weekend.
Thanks to all for joining in the fun!
Next weekend is a big one for both the men and women. Both teams will travel together to St Peter, MN for two big matches each. On Friday both teams take on a solid NAIA team, the University of Sioux Falls. The women begin at 5:30pm, and the men begin at 6:30pm. On Saturday each team takes on perinnial nationals contenders Gustavus Adolphus at 8:30am.
Wish us luck as we hit the road as one big team!
GO WARHAWKS!
