Men's Tennis 3-0 on Final Day of Virginia Ranked +1

 The Memphis men's tennis team closed out the Virginia Ranked +1 tournament with a pair of victories in consolation third place matches and a third win in round robin play Sunday morning.

Joe Salisbury won his match in the white singles draw, 6-3, 6-4, over UNC Wilmington's Sam Williams, improving his singles mark to 2-2 after the season-opening weekend.

David O'Hare had already faced two ranked opponents in the blue singles draw, and got a win in his third meeting with yet another ranked opponent, this time upending No. 70 Nikita Fomin of George Washington, 7-5, 4-6, 6-4 in his consolation third place match.

Cedric De Zutter closed out the 3-0 day for the Tigers with a straight set win, 6-2, 6-2, over Wake Forest's Sam Bloom.

The Tigers will be back on the courts again this weekend when the whole team travels to Tulsa to compete in the ITA All-American Championships. David O'Leary, David O'Hare, Cedric De Zutter and Jarryd Woog will compete in the prequalifying singles draw. Connor GlennonJoe Salisbury and Johnny Grimal will start their singles schedules in the qualifying draw. Grimal and O'Leary will start their doubles tournament in the qualifying round while O'Hare and Salisbury start their doubles run in the main draw.
