Ducks Defeated at #9 UCLA

LOS ANGELES, Calif. - The Oregon men's tennis team ran into a tough foe in SoCal on Friday afternoon, falling 7-0 at No. 9 UCLA at the Los Angeles Tennis Center. The Bruins improve to 13-4 overall and 3-0 in the Pac-10 while the Ducks drop to 9-11 overall and 0-2 in conference play.

Oregon freshmen Ayrton Wibowo and Jose' Izquierdo each pushed their matches to third set agianst the Bruins but both lost. Marcos Verdasco was forced to retire at No. 1 singles. UCLA also swept through the doubles session, winning all three matches. Alexander Cornelissen and Verdasco had previously won six of its previous seven doubles matches before Friday's 8-4 loss.
