2001 -- Junior: Crews was used as a doubles specialist in the 2001 season, where he posted a 23-12 record, spending most of his time with partner Peter Handoyo, with whom he amassed a 21-9 record ... Crews and Handoyo now stand as the fourth winningest doubles tandem in UT history with 47 career wins ... The pair also won their second career doubles title at the Kingsport Invitational Sept. 10, 2000 ... The tandem’s 21 victories in 2001 tied them for 10th most in a season in Vol history ...  Crews and Handoyo finished the season ranked No. 37... Crews finished the season with a 4-9 singles record, while coming through with a 2-0 record in dual match play.

2000 -- Sophomore: Crews enjoyed his best effort as a Vol during the 2000 season ... Crews won a career-high 15 singles matches and 26 doubles matches ... Before the 2000 season, Crews had a total of 12 singles wins and six doubles victories ... Crews also placed his name in the Vol record books with Peter Handoyo, as the duo claimed the SEC Indoor doubles title in Tuscaloosa, Ala. on Jan. 24, 2000 becoming only the third team in Vol history to claim the title ... The duo won five matches in three days, including victories over two of the top four seeds, to secure the title ... In his two dual match victories, Crews took straight set wins over John Dougherty of The Citadel (6-3, 6-2) and Jordan Goetzman of UT-Chattanooga (6-4, 6-2) on the same day to open the dual match season ... Crews earned a spot in the lineup at the No. 6 slot for the first round match of the NCAA Regionals against Tennessee Tech, but the match was suspended after the Vols posted a 4-0 victory...In doubles, Crews finished 1999 with a 4-6 record with all partners (with Copenhaver 0-1, with Parsons 2-4 and with Podbury 2-1).
