2004 — Senior: Missed the beginning of the fall season after reaggravating a back injury that hampered him through much of the 2002-03 season ... Returned from injury to win his first match of the season at the Icy Hot/ITA Men’s All-American Championships ... Began the spring season in fine form, defeating No. 20-ranked Catalin Gard of Ole Miss at the SEC Men’s Coaches’ Indoor Championships ... Clinched UT’s regular-season upset win at Arkansas March 5 ... Led the Vols with 20 doubles victories on the year ... Finished the season with a 12-7 singles record and a 20-7 doubles tally ... His biggest win came against Georgia (April 13), in which he clinched the Vols’ victory over the top-ranked Bulldogs with a 6-3, 4-6, 6-4 victory at No. 6 singles ...
