Notes: Started the season at the Baylor HEB Intercollegiate, reaching the second round of singles and the quarterfinals in doubles ... Reached the consolation doubles semifinals at the ITA All-American Championships with Hunter Reese ... Captured his first collegiate singles title, winning five matches to take the second flight at the Tennessee Fall Invitational. He defeated teammate Edward Jones 7-6, 6-2 in the final. Also reached the top-flight doubles final with Jones ... Won back-to-back regional titles in two different regions. A year after winning the Atlantic championship, Collins teamed up with Mikelis Libietis to win five matches and take the USTA/ITA Ohio Valley Regional Championship ... Paired with Maros Horny in doubles to finish second on the team with 23 wins and led the squad in ACC singles victories (7)...earned a bid to the 2012 NCAA Doubles Championships becoming the first Maryland doubles team to appear in the tournament since 2008...ranked as high as No. 21 nationally by the ITA in doubles...playing alongside Horny became the first Maryland tandem to win the USTA/ITA Atlantic Region title and earn a bid to compete at the USTA/ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships...played as the No. 1 doubles team all season alongside Horny compiling a 15-8 record...handed then-No. 4 Kevin King and Juan Spir of Georgia Tech their only conference loss of the season (3/25)...finished with a 10-11 record in singles playing primarily at the No. 5 position where he went 6-2...defeated William Parker in the Terps' upset of No. 18 North Carolina (4/15).

Led the team in both singles (22) and doubles (19) victories ... 9-2 singles tournament mark also led the squad ... nationally-ranked in singles during the spring, reaching No. 121 ... had a season-long nine-match singles winning streak from Feb. 12 to March 10, which included a victory over Anton Andersson of No. 75 William & Mary ... won all but one of those matches in straight sets ... teamed with Jesse Kiuru for the final seven ACC matches going 4-3 ... that duo knocked off Carlos Salmon and Tripper Carleton of No. 23 Wake Forest, 8-4, in the final regular-season match (April 18) ... they also upended Carleton and Zach Leslie, 8-6, four days later in the opening round of the ACC Tournament.
