Vanderbilt Concludes Fall Season

ATHENS, Ga. - The Vanderbilt men's tennis team concluded its fall season Sunday, on the final day of the Bulldog Scramble from the University of Georgia. The Commodores continued to play well in doubles, finishing the day a perfect 4-0. In singles they did not fair as well, winning just two of their eight matches.
 
Anton Kovrigin and Jeffrey Offerdahl finished the weekend, undefeated in doubles action with their 6-5 (5) win over Siegel and Ghilea of Oklahoma. The Vandy duo picked up two wins on Friday and Saturday over two different Furman doubles teams.
 
Kris Yee and Pen Binet also both stayed undefeated in doubles. Yee picked up a win on Saturday paired with Binet and two wins with Suresh Eswaran. Binet, picked up two additional wins with Mason Vierra.
 
After going 13-8 in singles on Friday and Saturday, the `Dores slipped going 2-6 on the final day. Kovrigin and Binet picked up losses to two ranked opponents. Offerdahl and Vierra, picked up the only two singles wins of the day for the Commodores, bringing their weekend total to two, a piece.
 
With the fall season in the books the Commodores will look ahead to the start of the spring season with a doubleheader on January 19, against Marquette and Belmont.
