GREENSBORO, N.C. – Wake Forest senior Cory Parr has been named Atlantic Coast Conference Men’s Tennis Player of the Week after an unbeaten week that included two singles wins over ranked opponents.
For the second consecutive week, the 26th-ranked Parr posted wins across the board in doubles and singles through the Demon Deacons’ three matches. The Jericho, N.Y., native improved to 5-0 at No. 1 singles in the ACC, topping two ranked opponents, including 12th-ranked Guillermo Gomez of Georgia Tech, who holds the highest singles rank in the ACC, and 58th-ranked Kiril Dimitrov of Duke. The top-ranked doubles team of Parr and Steven Forman holds a 4-0 record in conference play.
Earlier this month, Parr posted his 100th career win and is now the third winningest singles player in Wake Forest history with 105 victories.
