 Benjamin Oestreich
Ben Oestreich - Former Lakeland (Wisconsin) men's and women's tennis coach Ben Oestreich was named Wartburg first full-time men's and women's tennis coach in June of 2007. This fall, he guided the women's program to an 8-6 record and fourth-place Iowa Conference team tournament finish in his first season at the helm. Oestreich, who earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Lakeland in 2002 in secondary education and Spanish, expects to finish his master of education degree in the fall of 2007. He was named the head coach of the Muskie men's tennis program in the fall of 2005, and head women's tennis coach in the fall of 2006. He recruited back-to-back conference Rookie of the Year award winners for the men's program. Oestreich was an adjunct instructor at Lakeland since 2003 and advisor for Lakeland 's Student Athletic Advisory Committee (SAAC) since the fall of 2004. He previously served Lakeland as athletic recruiting coordinator and athletics-admissions liaison, director of facilities and interim assistant director of admissions. He played four years of tennis and served as captain for three seasons as an undergraduate at Lakeland , and also played three seasons on the men's basketball team. He also serves the Wartburg athletic department as head equipment manager.
