As a Senior: Named team captain by Brad Louderback...In the fall, Cavalcanti and Matheus Pereira advanced to the quarterfinals of the main draw of the prestigous ITA All-Americans in Tulsa, Okla...they were defeated by the No.3 ranked Chase Buchanan and Blaz Rola of Ohio State, 8-5...along they way they defeated a pair of ranked teams, No. 40 Patrick Pohlman and Clark Spinosa of San Diego, 8-6 and they came from behind to beat No. 19 ranked team of Alex Musialek and Eric Quigley of Kentucky, 9-8...advanced to the round of eight at the ITA Regionals, also held in Tulsa before they lost to No.3 team from Minnesota...overall the pair were 9-3 in the fall and they enter the spring ranked #20 in the nation by the ITA...finished the fall with a 3-2 singles record. As a Junior: Posted a 16-7 singles record in the spring including a 6-1 MVC record...Played a majority of his matches in the No. 3 and No. 3 positions...Paired with Matheus Pereira for the entire spring they posted a 15-4 doubles record including a 5-2 MVC record and a win at the No. 2 doubles position at the MVC Individuals in January...Defeated Benedikt Lindheim in a three set thriller, 6-3, 3-6, 10-8. In the fall, Cavalcanti took his two matches of the ITA Regionals beating Brandon Champagne (6-1, 6-1) and Rifat Bityakova (6-2, 6-2) of Oklahoma State...lost a tough match to William Parker of North Carolina 6-1, 6-1 at the 2010 All-Americans. As a Sophomore: Posted a team best 21-10 overall record and a 5-0 conference record...Competed at the No. 1, 3, 4, 5 and 6 positions...was 23-6 in double's overall and 5-0 in conference...Went 2-0 at the MVC championships in singles and 2-0 in doubles...earned MVC all-conference honors at the No. 5 position in singles and the No. 3 position in doubles with Matheus Pereira. In the fall individual season, Cavalcanti was the HEB Baylor Invitational Consolation singles champion. As a Freshman:  Posted a team-leading 20-3 overall record and a 5-1 conference record…Competed at the No. 4 and No. 5 positions…Teamed with Jonathan Obrist and Matt Teivans to boost a 17-6 record as well as a flawless 6-0 conference mark…Won all but two matches against ranked opponents…Went 2-0 at the MVC championship, winning both in straight sets…Defeated James Seagraves of #29 Tulsa, 6-2, 6-3…Topped Christian Kuehne of #67 University of the Pacific, 6-2, 6-2…Together with Teivans, defeated Hendrik Stahmer and Francois Van Impe of #68 Nebraska, 8-2…Went 9-1 in the season’s final 10 matches with Obrist. In the fall individual season, Cavalcanti posted a 5-3 record in which he completed a three-match sweep at the Missouri Valley Conference Individual Championship on his way to being declared Flight 6 Champion...At the same tournament, he defeated #53 Drake’s Ivan Mendoza in a third-set tiebreaker, 6-4, 4-6, 7-6 (9-7), to claim the flight title...Went 2-1 at the Baylor HEB Invitational, where he defeated #33 TCU’s Eric Olson in straight sets, 6-2, 6-1...Posted an 0-3 mark in doubles play, playing two matches with Adrian Chermaci and one match with Rodrigo Briceno.
