College Tennis Teams - Allegheny College - Team News - Gators' streak snapped by Saint Lawrence

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. - The Allegheny men's tennis team had its six-match winning streak snapped by Saint Lawrence as it fell 6-3 in its last match of Spring Break competition.

Evan Gordon (Rochester, N.Y./Brighton) was the Gators' lone singles winner, claiming a victory over Pete Abernethy, 6-2, 7-5, at second singles.

In pairs competition, Gordon and Jake Allmaras (Powell, Ohio/Olentangy Liberty) defeated Jake Dexter and Ren Gates at second doubles, 8-6, while Zach Kerosky (Ashtabula, Ohio/Lakeside)and Eric Roginek (Fresh Meadows, N.Y./Archbishop Malloy) won in third doubles over Chris Rodilloso and Chris Tamm, 8-5.

Allegheny (6-5) will be in action next on March 28 when it opens North Coast Athletic Conference play at Ohio Wesleyan. The match will begin at 2 p.m.
