GAMBIER, Ohio - The Allegheny men's tennis team closed its season with a 5-0 win over Oberlin in the seventh-place match at the North Coast Athletic Conference Championships, hosted by Kenyon.

The Gators swept doubles competition and quickly claimed two singles points to achieve victory.

At first doubles, Matt Chiricosta and Ben Hurtuk teamed for an 8-3 win over Ben Godlove and Eliot Heaton. Jake Allmaras and Ryan Zipf were 8-1 winners in second doubles over Peder Davis and Sergio Sanchez, 8-1, and at third doubles, Evan Gordon and Zack Kerosky defeated Sam Towne and James Blankenship, 8-3.

Hurtuk and Kerosky claimed singles points for the Gators. Kerosky defeated Blankenship, 6-1, 6-0, at third singles and Hurtuk was victorious over Davis at fifth singles, 6-1, 6-1.

With the win, Allegheny finished the year with a 10-12 record. Oberlin dropped to 0-22.
