SAVANNAH, Ga. - The defending NCAA Division II national champion Armstrong Atlantic State University men's tennis team sits atop the first Campbell/ITA Division II National Rankings, released late Friday by the organization.

The Pirates also sport the No. 1-ranked singles and doubles players with the release, which takes into account all Fall semester play, including the ITA Division II Regional and National Championships.

Armstrong is No. 1, followed by West Florida at No. 2, Lynn at No. 3, Barry at No. 4 and Hawai'i Pacific at No. 5.

Individually, ITA Divison II national singles champion Georgi Rumenov tops the singles rankings, while senior Matus Mydla is ranked No. 9 and senior Dan Regan is ranked No. 14, his career high national singles ranking. Sophomore Sven Lalic is ranked No. 18 and junior Pedro Scocuglia is ranked No. 22, giving the Pirates five singles players in the Top 25.

In doubles, Rumenov and Regan team up for the No. 1 doubles duo in the nation - the pair captured the ITA Division II National and Super Bowl of Small College Tennis titles this Fall. Scocuglia and Lalic are ranked No. 9.
