Hanover, N.H. - The Boston College women's tennis team picked up their third straight win with a 6-1 defeat of Dartmouth College on Sunday afternoon and improved their recorded to 3-1 on the season.
The Eagles picked up wins in five-out-of-six singles matches, taking victories in positions two through six. In the #2 spot, Lauren Cash won her first set and dropped the second set. With the team score already decided, a 10 point match tiebreaker was played where Cash saved a match point and then rallied for the win 13-11.
Katarina Gajic, Katherine Attwell, Dasha Cherkasov and Alina Sullivan also picked up singles victories. BC took two out of the three doubles matches and earned the point with wins in the #2 and #3 positions. BC has won the doubles point in every match thus far this season.
Coach Bentley commented, "It is always challenging to win ion the road. Dartmouth is extremely well coached. I thought our players played with a lot of energy and poise. I am proud of our performance."
