Northridge, Calif. - Freshman Leslie Bullock (Irvine / Mater Dei HS) advanced to the semifinals of Women's Open Singles C to highlight Cal State Fullerton's performance Friday at the Matador Invitational Tennis Tournament at Cal State Northridge. Bullock defeated Courtney Ringler of Masters College, 7-6, 6-4, and Kristy Fournell of Cal State Northridge, 2-6, 6-3, 6-1. She will play Saturday at 10:30 a.m. against the winner of an incomplete match between Whitney Paluch of CSUN and Chelsea Mosser of UC Santa Barbara. Two other Titans won opening matches to advance to the quarterfinals of Singles C. Karina Akhmedova beat Julie Onnishenko of CSUN, 6-2, 6-3, but lost to Bliss Nixon of LMU, 6-1, 3-6, 6-0. Shelly Injejikian defeated Heidi Jackson of Masters, retired, but then lost to Jean Chalchanalchaicharn of UCSB, 6-4, 6-4. Fullerton's Erin Wiesener was a scratch from both singles and doubles.
