Lees-McRae College - Facilities
The Lees-McRae College tennis facilities consists of 6 outdoor courts and 2 indoor courts. All courts are located within walking distance from the dorms and classes. Team practices are generally conducted outdoors during most of the fall season, before moving indoors until March.

The outdoor courts were built in 1997 and underwent resurfacing in the fall of 2006. With the Blue Ridge Mountains forming the backdrop, the complex is widely acknowledged as one of the finest facilities in the nation.

The C.D. Chesley Indoor Tennis Center has been in use since 1989, and is mostly used during the winter season. State of the art facilities include a unique surface designed to reduce impact on the legs, and an inverted lighting system that prevents ‘losing’ the ball in the glare of the lights.

Future projects for the Lees-McRae College tennis facility include the addition of locker rooms and bleachers and lights.
