Following a pair of wins on the road, the #49 LMU men's tennis team (13-2, 3-0 WCC) will return home this weekend where they will host Gonzaga (9-6, 2-3 WCC) and Portland (8-7, 3-2 WCC). The Lions will face the Bulldogs on Saturday, April 7th at 1:00 pm. On Sunday, April 8th, they will rival the Pilots at 11:00 am.

When the Lions and Bulldogs met last in April of last season, LMU was able to come out on top with the 4-2 victory. Unfortunately, Portland topped the Lions, 4-3, in a thriller last year. The Lions are currently looking to extend a 10-match win streak. The Lions are sitting in a tie for first place in the WCC, toting the same 3-0 mark as San Diego. BYU checks in behind the duo at the top at 3-1.

Portland features one ranked singles player, as Michail Pervolarakis checks in at #48 in the latest ITA rankings.

Following this weekend’s matches, LMU will host UCSB at the LMU Tennis Center for a 1:00 pm match on Tuesday, April 10th.
