We have a good, solid tennis program that has been improving every year. We achieved a wining record and regional ranking in the Atlantic South last year.  We are in a great, competitive conference (SCAC) and play several ranked teams. We have a new tennis center, and will finish phase two in 2008.

I have been a tennis professional for over 35 years. I have coached over 10 All-Americans. As a player, I was ranked #5 in the US for 6 years (3 in the 35's and 3 in the 40's). I have been selected Ga Pro of the Year 4 times and Sr. Player of the Year twice. I played my college tennis at Vanderbilt Universtity where I was Captain and MVP my sr. year. My 4 year regular season record at Oglethorpe is 42-23.

We have 4 srs. graduating this year, and the opportunity is there for freshmen to play immediately. If you want a great education, play college tennis in a great conference, have a life outside tennis, and be in (but not downtown)  a major city, then Oglethorpe University will appeal to you.
