WINTER PARK, Fla. (March 3, 2009) – The 15th ranked Rollins women’s tennis team earned their fourth straight shutout and stayed perfect on the season with a 9-0 victory over Lake Superior State Tuesday evening.

Rollins (7-0) rolled through doubles play, surrendering just eight total points. In the top flight, No. 15 Margaret Junker and Kayli Ragsdale teamed to down Weronika Lomacha and Gaby Alladio 8-2. Holly Fleming and Roshni Luthra took the No. 2 match 8-2 over Adrienne DiVito and Carolyn Pumford with Stefaniya Tkach and Allie Steele downing Ingrid Pfleiger and Erin Weithoff 8-4 at No. 3.

Luthra scored a 6-1, 6-1 win over Pfleiger while Fleming took Lomacha 6-3, 4-6, 10-5 at No. 2. Tkach defeated DiVito 6-3, 6-1 in the No. 3 match and Junker scored a 6-1, 6-0 win over Alladio at No. 4.

Steele proved to be too strong in the No. 5 match-up with a 6-1, 6-1 victory over Pumford while Ragsdale won No. 6, 6-1, 6-3 over Weithoff.

Rollins will be back on the courts on Wednesday, Mar. 4 to face California (Pa.) at the Martin Tennis Complex. Competition is slated to begin at 3:30 p.m.
