Thursday, 03/05/2009

SANTA CLARA, Calif.- The Santa Clara women's tennis team will take on Cal State Bakersfield this Sunday, March 8th at Degheri Center. First serve is scheduled for 12:00 p.m. The Broncos are currently 4-5 this season and 1-1 in the WCC.

With last weekend's win against Portland, the Broncos are confident about this weekend. "We were really happy to beat Portland so convincingly this year. The win really demonstrated how much improvement we've made this season," said head coach Ben Cabell. "Cal State Bakersfield is a lot better than they were last year, so we have to make sure that we are ready for them. One of our team goals is to have a .500 record this season and we're hoping to get that done this Sunday."
