LUBBOCK, Texas – In a season of firsts, Texas Tech added another one, as the Lady Raiders ended the season ranked No. 18 in the final Intercollegiate Tennis Association Rankings.
It is the highest final ranking in program history, eclipsing the No. 22 final ranking the Lady Raiders earned last season. Prior to last season, Texas Tech had not finished higher than 48 in the final poll.
Individually, Samantha Adams finished the season ranked No. 83 nationally in singles and No. 15 in the Texas Region. Rashmi Teltumbde and Nikki Sanders were ranked No. 16 and No. 17, respectively, in the Texas Region in singles.
In doubles, Adams and Kenna Kilgo finished the season ranked 20th nationally. It marked the second straight season the duo finished the season ranked in the Top 20. Adams and Kilgo finished the year ranked third in the Texas Region, while the tandem of Sanders and Teltumbde were ranked 10th.
