WILMINGTON, North Carolina - Junior Kosta Blank of UNCW has been selected as the Colonial Athletic Association's Men's Tennis Singles Player-of-the-Week after sparking the 33rd-ranked Seahawks to a clean 3-0 mark last week.

The 6-1, 155-pound native of Kfar Sava, Israel, earned CAA honors for the second time this spring after collecting doubles accolades three weeks ago. He has helped the Seahawks jump out to a 9-2 record heading into today's match against North Florida in Jacksonville, Fla.

Blank propelled the Seahawks past No. 21 N.C. State, 4-3, by rallying for a 6-7 (5), 6-3, 7-6 (5) triumph over the Wolfpack's Jullian Sullivan. Blank also defeated Temple's Dmitry Vizhunov, 6-0, 6-1, in a 6-0 triumph over the Owls, and topped Binghamton's Robin Lesage, 6-1, 6-0, as UNCW edged the Bearcats, 4-3.

Blank owns a 9-2 singles record for the season at the No. 3 and No. 4 positions.
