Alabama Men’s Tennis Falls in Semifinals at Southern Regional Championships

AUBURN, Ala. - The men's tennis team ended its run at the 2012 USTA/ITA Southern Regional Championships with losses in the semifinals of both singles and doubles on Sunday.

In singles, Becker O'Shaughnessey fell to Mississippi State's Romain Bogaerts, 6-1, 7-6(1), while the Crimson Tide's doubles team of David Vieyra and Daniil Proskura dropped an 8-4 decision to the tournament's No. 2 seed and the 41st-ranked team in the nation in the Bulldogs' Malte Stropp and Jordan Angus.

Alabama will be back in action Nov. 2-4, when it hosts the Crimson Tide Fall Championships in Tuscaloosa.
