We are looking to add at least one more player to our team for the fall of 2003.

Let me introduce you to the University of Michigan and the Michigan tennis program. Michigan is highly regarded as one of the great universities in the United States. We take pride in the fact that few schools, if any, can rival Michigan's combination of academics and athletic excellence.

The University of Michigan tennis program has developed a tremendous winning tradition throughout the years. Michigan tennis has:

Captured 36 Big Ten Conference Team Championships, three times more than any other Big Ten school.

Consistently ranked in the NCAA Top 25

Had players named All - Big Ten 70 times

Had players receive All- American honors 33 times

Had numerous players go on to successful professional tennis careers including Wimbledon Singles Finalist, MaliVai Washington and NCAA Singles Champions Michael Leach and Barry MacKay

Graduated over 99% of it's players

 

The state of the art Varsity Tennis Center is the home to the Michigan tennis team. Our premier complex contains: eight indoor courts and twelve outdoor courts, private team locker rooms, team meeting rooms, training room, fitness room, videotaping, coaches office space, and plenty of permanent spectator seating. The Varsity Tennis Center is one of the finest indoor/outdoor facilities in the United States. It provides the team an ideal setting for both competition and practice. Michigan plays host to numerous regional and national events such as the Big Ten Team Championship, the Big Ten Singles Championship and the Omni Regional Qualifier. We are also currently working on bringing a professional Challenger tournament to the Varsity Tennis Center.

In addition, the University of Michigan is nationally recognized for it's academic excellence. Supported by a first rate faculty and tremendous facilities, all of Michigan's undergraduate programs are rated among the finest in the nation. In order to provide each student with the best possible learning environment, the Michigan Athletic Department has developed the Academic Success Program (A.S.P.) for it's student athletes. The A.S.P. program offers comprehensive academic support and tutorial services along with guidance on scheduling, majors, and career directions.
