ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (10/22/2015) - Boise State’s doubles teams of Thomas Tenreiro and Lewis Roskilly, as well as Toby Mitchell and Kyle Butters have both advanced into Friday’s quarterfinal round following victories today at the USTA/ITA Mountain Regional in Albuquerque, N.M.
Tenreiro and Roskilly defeated Utah State’s Daniel Echeverry and Jaime Barajas 8-3 in the round of 32. They will meet Brigham Young’s tandem of Keaton Cullimore and John Pearce, seeded 10th, in the quarterfinals on Friday.
Meanwhile, Mitchell and Butters took on a team from Air Force Jack McCullers and Andrew Parks in their round of 32 match, beating the Falcons 8-4 to advance. The Boise State duo will now meet the No. 1 seeded pair from New Mexico, Hayden Sabatka and Bart Van Leijsen in Friday’s quarterfinal round.
In singles the Broncos had mixed results as all four Broncos won their opening matches of the tournament in the round of 64 Thursday morning, then lost in the round of 32 later in the afternoon. The losses eliminated all four from the tournament in singles.
