Hilo, HI—The Brigham Young University Hawaii men’s tennis team defeated UH-Hilo with an 8-1 win.  The Seasiders blew away the Vulcans by winning five of their singles and all three of their doubles.

Rong Ma scored a 6-3, 6-4 win at the number one singles position for the Seasiders while Diego Miranda was claiming a 7-5, 6-4 win at number two singles.  Agnel Peter picked up a 6-1, 7-5 win at the third singles position and C.J. Adamson earned a 3-6, 6-2, 10-8 victory at number four singles.  Huakun Xing battled and won 6-1, 3-6, 11-9 at number five. 

Ma and Peter combined for an 8-6 win at number one doubles and Miranda and Adamson teamed up for an 8-3 win at the second doubles position.  Xing and De Hoyas claimed an 8-4 victory at the third doubles position.

The Seasiders’ next action will be tomorrow at UH-Hilo at 9:00 am.
