CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Charleston Southern women’s tennis team had another day at the office as the Buccaneers dominated Florida State College at Jacksonville 7-0 Saturday afternoon at CSU Tennis Complex.

The No. 67-ranked Bucs (16-1, 7-0 Big South Conference) shut out their fourth-straight opponent, and the victory gives CSU the school record for most wins in a single season. This is also the fourth-straight match the Buccaneers won all six singles matches in straight sets.

The Stars (17-5) came into the match as the No. 4 ranked team in the National Junior Collegiate Athletic Association, but the squad full of underclassmen was no match for Charleston Southern.

The doubles point was handled with ease as the three Buc tandems won their matches by a combined score of 24-2.

Angie Torres and Andrea Schutte coasted past Linda Winter and Molly Lentini 8-1 at No. 1 doubles. Olga Makhova and Marija Dzakovic made quick work of Arina Yakovtseva and Eliana Ramirez 8-0 at the No. 2 spot. Susita Das and Brooke Pletcher breezed by Chelsey Lynn and Arianna Lopez 8-1.

CSU conceded just 11 games during solo action.
