CHARLESTON, S.C. – The College of Charleston women’s tennis team and Kickin’ Chicken will host a NCAA Women’s Tennis Selection Show watch party on Tuesday at 5 p.m. at the King Street location in downtown Charleston.

Fans are encouraged to join head coach Angelo Anastopoulo and the women’s tennis team as well as members of CofC Athletics on the back patio as the team finds out who it will face in the first round. The 2010 NCAA Division I men’s and women’s tennis selection announcements will air between 5-6 p.m. on ESPNews.

Championship brackets will be posted on the NCAA website 30 minutes after the completion of the selection show. The list of individuals selected to the singles and doubles championships will be posted on Wednesday by 6 p.m.

CofC earned an automatic bid to the NCAA Championships by winning its second consecutive Southern Conference Championship on Apr. 25 with a 4-0 defeat of Furman. The Cougars went undefeated (10-0) in conference play during the regular season.

Charleston makes its second straight trip to the NCAA Championships and third in school history. The team fell to Florida 4-1 in the first round last year. Anastopoulo also led the Cougars to the NCAA Championships in 2003.

College of Charleston is currently ranked 65th by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association.
