BATON ROUGE - LSU women’s tennis coach Julia Sell announced Wednesday that sophomore Mary Jeremiah signed to play with the Tigers in the upcoming season.
The Oklahoma State transfer compiled a 20-11 doubles record and an 18-16 singles record as a freshman in 2012, and the 5-foot-8-inch player competed in the semi-finals of the USTA/ITA Central
Region Championships singles consolation bracket in fall play.
Originally from Atlanta, Ga., Jeremiah was a High School All-American and won a Class 5A regional championship for Peachtree Ridge High School.
Jeremiah was a five-star blue chip prospect and was ranked as the 17th-best prospect in the country as a senior in 2011 according to tennisrecruiting.net.
